Welcome to apkTrusted ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website, services, APIs, or any associated software (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and apkTrusted. Please read them carefully. They cover important information about your legal rights, future changes to the terms, automatic renewals, and liability limitations.

2. Description of Service

apkTrusted provides an online platform for analyzing Android Application Packages (APK files). Our Service allows users to upload APK files to obtain technical metadata, including package names, version information, permissions, components, SDK details, file hashes, and security risk signals.

The Service is provided strictly for informational and educational purposes. The analysis results, including any security scores or "trust" indicators, are automated and should not be considered as a final or absolute judgment on the safety or legality of any file. We do not guarantee that any file identified as "safe" is free from malware, nor do we guarantee that any file identified as "suspicious" is harmful.

3. User Responsibilities and Conduct

By using the Service, you agree to the following responsibilities:

• Compliance with Laws: You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You shall not upload any content that violates local, state, national, or international laws or regulations.
• Ownership: You represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights, licenses, or permissions to upload and analyze any file you submit to the Service.
• Prohibited Content: You agree not to upload files that contain illegal content, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), non-consensual sexual content, or content promoting terrorism or hate crimes.
• System Abuse: You agree not to interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service, using bots or automated scripts to overload our systems (DDoS), or attempting to reverse engineer our analysis engine.

4. Data Handling and File Submissions

When you upload a file to apkTrusted:

• Temporary Storage: You acknowledge that we temporarily store the file on our servers to perform the analysis.
• Deletion: We aim to delete the actual file content immediately after the analysis process is complete. However, metadata derived from the file (such as hashes, package names, and structure info) will be permanently stored in our database and may be made publicly available.
• Public Results: You agree that the analysis results for any file you upload may be indexed and made publicly searchable on our platform. This helps other users identify the same file in the future without re-uploading.
• Third-Party Sharing: You acknowledge that we may query external threat-intelligence services using cryptographic file hashes to retrieve prior scan intelligence. We do not share full file content unless explicitly stated by the Service.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

Your Content: We claim no ownership over the APK files you upload. You retain all copyright and other proprietary rights to your content. By uploading, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to copy, process, and analyze the file for the sole purpose of providing the Service and generating the analysis report.

Our Content: The apkTrusted website, logo, design, code, analysis engine, and generated reports (excluding user-submitted data) are the property of apkTrusted and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or sell any part of our Service without our prior written consent.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APKTRUSTED DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Accuracy: We do not warrant that the analysis results will be accurate, complete, or reliable. Malware detection is a probabilistic field; false positives and false negatives can and do occur.
• Availability: We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
• Safety: We do not warrant that files marked as "safe" by our Service or third-party integrations are free of malicious code. You are solely responsible for the security of your device and data.
• Fitness for Purpose: We disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

7. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL APKTRUSTED, ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, OR PARTNERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
