Complete the challenges to unlock the pieces and start a practice streak.
Strong sight-reading skills empower musicians to communicate with one another through the language of music, as well as learn new pieces quickly and accurately. Regular practice with ABRSM Sight-Reading Trainer will help you avoid the pitfalls and achieve sight-reading success!
Hey, phone users! Music notation is complex and phone screens are small. This app is best viewed on an iPad but there's still lots you can learn and enjoy if you’re using the app on a smaller phone. Make sure you check out the preview screenshots in the App Store.

It's such a great app! I really want to learn how to better my sight reading skills. One suggestion though which would be really good would be sight reading for singers. :)
love this app but would be better with a listen , record and compare section like on the scales or aural trainer app so you can hear if you have read and played it correctly
In general the app sounds useful, but the developers should put more effort in polishing it before releasing to the public. The app doesn't handle back button properly, so you can never go back once you enter a screen (if you go to your progress, you will be trapped in that screen until you forcefully kill the app; pressing back will simply exit the app, but you will still be in the same screen next time). It also doesn't fill the screen properly, so the text is cut. Unacceptable for the price.
I'm having trouble with half the screen going white and blank, so I have to guess on what the questions are saying. I like that there are snippets of lots of different types of music to sight read but it seems like it's broken. I'm going to try to see if it works on my IOs rather than my Android where it isn't showing the whole screen.
I'm sorry, but this is no help whatsoever towards what you actually need to do during a grade 1 exam for sight reading. Most of it is a memory test - study an extract of written music then answer questions about it.
