Took a bit of mucking around to figure out why car wouldn't charge. Key: short time interval allowed between setting up charging and plugging in. App shows "someone else is using station" if you don't a) have car unplugged, then b) plug in during the time interval. Also, my phone started acting oddly after using app - screen lag or unresponsive. I ended up deleting app and phone started acting normal again - suspect something not quite right with the app.
