ABC KIDS listen is a dedicated audio app for preschoolers.
Our aim is to provide children aged 0-5 and their families with a way to access the music and stories they love from the ABC in a trusted online environment. ABC KIDS listen cares about providing Australian families with a safe space for their children to access educational and entertaining audio content.
You and your child can listen to our live radio stream, which has been designed to suit the changing needs of a child’s day and night, or simply choose a program on demand that best suits your needs at that moment.
Our programs are inspired by the Early Years Learning Framework of Australia, which encourages children to learn through play. The high quality audio programs give preschoolers a space where they can get their bodies moving and brains working. Explore, learn, and play, and later wind down, rest, and sleep.
Episodes can be downloaded and will then be available for seven days in the app before expiring, allowing for listening without an internet connection.
It’s free and commercial free. Other ABC apps designed specifically for preschoolers and their families include ABC KIDS iview and ABC KIDS PLAY.
The app is designed for devices running OS 7 and above.

I can't believe this is free. The quality of stuff on here is amazing! The imagine this program is so fun! We listen to the bedtime stories almost every night. Anyone who's tried to find stories to listen to with a kid under five will understand how difficult it is to find anything worth listening to. I only wish I'd known about it sooner.

EDIT: 7 January all working very well, bumped up from 2 stars to 4 stars. The road trip stories were brilliant for our long drive back home from Adelaide and bedtime stories working without issues. 3 Jan review (2 stars): What's going on with this app? Five star app up until mid December, but all sorts of issues (across a few different android devices) since then. 3 January the only option is live radio. Hopefully gets better!

We use to use this app all the time. Was great .... now it will launch the main image and goes no further. Stopped a couple of weeks ago. Please fix as my little one loves to dance.

Edit: Now app won't play anything other than the live radio feed. I've uninstalled it a few times, no luck. Very frustrating, the June 2022 update obviously hasn't fixed the issues. Please fix this app, it is very buggy. It needs to be opened and closed several time before use, and sometimes it gets stuck in loading mode and won't play the selected program. Fantastic content, just disappointed that it is so hard to access
