Individual calculation of the additional meal expenses from 2020 ...
This app provides information about the additional meal expenses (VMA for short) to be paid for work-related trips, valid for employees in Germany.
According to currently valid rules, the amount of the VMA depends on the place of stay (country), duration of the trip and, if applicable, meals provided by the employer. Details on the calculations and application of the rules can be found in the annual publications of the Federal Ministry of Finance. These can be found and freely viewed on the website of the Federal Ministry of Finance (www.bundesfinanzministerium.de) under the keyword “Tax treatment of travel expenses and travel expense reimbursements”.
The annually changing rule sets will be made available promptly with an update to this app.
