He was born in the village of Bağyurdu, in the Bozkır district of Konya. He entered the workforce after primary school. His entrepreneurial spirit distinguished him at a young age. Today, he owns Mert Çelik, one of Türkiye's leading companies. Besides his role as a businessman, he also has an interest in film as a producer and director.
One of the films he directed is "Exile." This film won him awards at the 45th International Salemo Film Festival and the 11th Tashkent Film Festival. He also produced numerous domestic films.
