To develop Karl state-of-the-art artificial intelligence methods (e.g. neural networks) were used. This resulted in a game behavior that mimics the best human players. Karl masters hand play and closing play too. He is guaranteed never to look at your cards and even lets you cheat; e.g. to get better cards.

Optimized game play ensures rapid game flow, so each single game takes only about 1 minute.
