Under the chandelier of the Paris Opera House, masked music and tragic love intertwine. In Phantom of Opera, you step into a classic tale retold as one of MazM's atmospheric story games. With expressive art, sound, and text, this visual novel guides you from the stage to the hidden lake beneath the theater as you uncover the phantom's secret.
📘 Story & Genre
Phantom of Opera is based on a timeless novel, reimagined as a blend of adventure games and emotional story games. You follow singers, nobles, and the unseen genius haunting the opera through illustrated scenes presented like a visual novel. Each chapter plays like an interactive story, mixing tragic romance with suspense so that every choice feels meaningful without breaking the original mood. From the bright stage to shadowy corridors, you see different sides of the opera house in compact, chapter-based episodes that feel like reading a classic adapted for mobile.
🎮 Gameplay Features
Progress chapter by chapter like in visual novel games. Tap through dialogue, backgrounds, and portraits while making key decisions that can slightly change how scenes unfold. The game is built for players who prefer mobile story games and adventure games that reward attention to characters rather than fast reflexes. Collect illustrations, notes, and side episodes that expand the world of the opera and reveal more about the phantom's past, and replay chapters to revisit favorite moments or explore different routes.

I loved this game and couldn't put it down. It's an interesting adaptation of Phantom of the Opera, not 100% faithful to the book, movie, or musical, but still ABSOLUTELY WORTH PLAYING. The story gets pretty morbid at times, so readers beware! Also... I went in hoping there might be a "stay with the Phantom" option (sadly there was not lol, this is not an otome), but I stayed for the novelty and sheer uniqueness of this visual novel. Thanks to the devs for creating such an enthralling experience
Wow, just wow, but had to take away a star because for some reason they started demanding network connectivity at multiple points on startup. Fortunately I had almost completed the game, but it was very annoying to need a stable Internet connection for 90 seconds before loading a level since I played in the subway, and on the final level I had to keep on clicking off the network error notification, which was just unnecessary.
I really like the style and music! It's very close to the book so far and I can't wait to finish the story. The adds are a bit annoying but, I'm enjoying the game so far. You should make a Sweeney Todd: the demon barber of fleet street, one I bet it would really work will with this style. Edit: I keep getting kicked out from the game, I watched an add and as soon as I'm about to play it kicks me out! And when I go back it makes me wait for another add! so annoying.
I randomly remembered this game and thought it'd be fun to pick it back up, but I can't access anything beyond episode 2 of ch.1. Some people seem to be saying you just have to wait a certain amount of time for an episode to become available, but if that's the case, I can't see anything telling me the count down. If I try to click on the next episode, it just shows the two subscription offers. Kinda sucks, especially as I remember it being free before. Just wish they'd been upfront with the cost
The overal story is good don't get me wrong, but omg the waiting for new chapters is sooo annoying. First it was 1 hour of waiting to watch an add and play the next case (honestly don't mind the adds), but now I gotta wait 3 hours?! I'm chapter 3 now, is it gonna become even longer in the future?? Ofcourse you can pay if you don't want to wait, but it's more that €6 for a subscription of a month and €63(!!?) for a lifetime pass FOR ONLY Phantom of the Opera. A bit overpriced don't you think?!
