The “Traffic Sounds” game is an interactive 2D educational game specifically designed for young children. Developed with the aim of introducing and teaching various important sounds in everyday traffic situations, this game presents a fun and educational learning experience through three main learning categories: police whistle, horn, and siren.
In the police whistle category, children will learn to recognize and understand the meaning of various types of whistles, starting from one long blow to indicate a stop, two short blows to give permission to cross, to three short blows for special situations. The horn category teaches children about the various uses of the horn in driving, such as one honk to overtake, two times to give a warning, and three times repeatedly for emergency situations. Meanwhile, in the siren category, children are introduced to various types of sirens such as Hi-Lo for ambulances picking up patients, Yelp for transporting non-emergency patients, fast sirens for emergency cases, Wail for transporting bodies, Phaser for heavy traffic conditions, and special train sirens.
Each learning category is equipped with interactive tutorials that combine videos and explanations, practical sessions to apply knowledge, challenges to test understanding, and quizzes with a scoring system. This game is also equipped with a reward system in the form of medals that can be collected in the gallery, as well as a collection of sounds that can be played back. To enhance the playing experience, there are customizable audio settings. Through a child-friendly interface and progressive learning system, this game aims to build a deep understanding of traffic sounds, increase awareness of road safety, and develop the ability to respond appropriately to various traffic situations. With a fun and interactive approach, children are expected to be able to build habits of orderly traffic from an early age, understand the important role of traffic officers, and develop awareness of emergency situations on the road.
