About this app

Scania Trucks Wallpapers for Scania fans.

Scania Trucks Wallpapers is a free app with lots of amazing images to personalize your mobile device. It is worth adding that this application is not official brand.

In 2004 Scania stopped using the cylinder and series in the nomenclature of its vehicles. There are currently four series of trucks, named according to the type of cabin and engine power, where:

a letter indicates the type of cabin:
T - cabin behind the "pointed" engine is no longer offered.
P - Advanced cabin, mounted on the engine, low. It features the high engine compartment inside the cabin, negatively influencing the movement inside the cabin. Indicated for short distance operations, being easier for the driver to access the cabin, when compared to the R Series. Ex.: P230, P340.
R - High forward cabin, suitable for long journeys. It presents better internal comfort due to the lower height of the engine compartment. Ex.: R420, R500, R620.
G - Cab similar to the R series, but with a less sophisticated finish.
The bus line consists of the F (front engine) and K (rear engine) series.

In 2005, Scania changed the naming of its bus models. Now, the number represents the horsepower of the engine in horsepower (Example: K420 - Engine with 420 Horsepower and K indicates the position of the engine in the chassis).

In 2009, Scania launched its 5th generation chassis. The model nomenclature remained the same, but the 5 Series got a new dashboard and some engine improvements. Still this year, Scania returned to producing chassis with a front engine, a market that it had left in 2003, with the launch of the F230 4x2, only in the 4X2 configuration, and the F270 in the 4X2 and 6X2 configurations.

The models with rear engine are the K250 4X2, K270 4x2, K270 6x2 (with third steer axle), K280 6X2*4, K310 6x2 (articulated or with third steer axle), K310 8x2 (articulated with two axles in the rear car, 20 meters, exclusive to Curitiba), K310 4x2, K360 (4X2 or 6X2), K400 6X2 and K440 8X2.

The front-engine models are the F250 (Urban and road), F310 (Idem) and the F360HA (articulated).
