The Advanzia app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to send messages to its users. It is necessary to secure transactions with Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) via in-app notifications. For this purpose, a previously generated anonymous Firebase installation ID (FID) is sent to Google so that we can identify app users and send them messages for SCA purposes. The installation ID is stored in your device's keychain in a secure location that is strictly necessary for the services to be available and is removed when the app is uninstalled. In addition to the mandatory SCA notifications, the FID is also used as absolutely necessary for optional notifications that you can request within the app. Information about the functionality of cloud messaging can be found at https://firebase.google.com/products/cloud-messaging/

I'm super happy with Advanzia after using it for almost a year now. And now they rolled out a new app which is much better than previous version. I changed my review to 5 stars. Good job. Update. Today my card was partially locked after a tiny Google transaction. 30m wait on phone I was able to unlock with very competent service in English. Seems all cards are triggered by Google (while fine otherwise). Just FYI.

all in all good experience. Suggestion: it would be great if one could export the transactions as excel or csv instead of pdf. Update: reduced one star for forcing the user to update the app immediately, otherwise it would not work!

I updated the app today and when it restarted it had lost credentials. Now I have to reset everything. Can you please improve it so it doesn't loose the credentials when updated

It mostly works. Annoying to re-enter user data on app updates and blocked screen dumps, unlike Revolut. Advanzia is hyper active on blocking cards for false positives on fraud. They block my card sometimes when shopping on Amazon, or buying Alaska airline tickets. If you use the card mostly with GooglePay, you avoid much of this card blocking. Online shopping is often without Google Pay. I get my card blocked multiple times a year. So always have a backup card with another bank.

Horrible application and horrible security system. The card has been blocked twice automatically in 2 weeks and I have to call for unblocking it every time. This is not something to deal with when you're on holidays abroad. Also, it fails to show the direct debits made. Can't trust this card anymore. I wanted to give this card the benefit of the doubt. 3rd time abroad and the card gets blocked. there is no customer service 24/7 hence nobody can unblock my card... Will be cancelling this joke
