Fanorona is a 2-player strategy game from Madagascar played on 9×5 board with intersecting lines.

The game play involves moving your piece to any adjacent empty intersection. You can capture opponent’s piece either by moving your piece next to opponent’s piece or, moving your piece away from opponent’s piece. In this process you also capture all other opponent pieces along the same line and direction beyond that piece and remove them from the board (as long as it is not interrupted by an empty intersection or player’s own piece).

This version lets you play against a bot or, another player on the same device.

YES! As of August 2020, it still works for AC 3 Make sure you are the computer and you feed achilles moves into the app. It took me a while to figure this out. Play Close attention to the double and triple moves, you can cancel them and end the turn early, like the app. Win every time in the Mansion on expert.

Runs and plays great, but I just purely hate Fanorona as a thing itself. It did help me out with Assassin's Creed III's achievement though!

playing against the ai is boring no matter what. if you set the depth to 2 (the lowest possible level) with the longest time for the bot, then you win without really trying. If you set the depth to 4 (the second lowest(what happened to 3?) possible level) with the shortest time for the bot, then you can't win at all. assassins creed black flag did a way better job with the air than this garbage. Then there's the issue of the bot just repeating the same move 20 times in a row, please ADD DRAWS.

Ai will move pieces to a corner and corner camp. Moving a single piece back and forth until the player is forced to sacrifice a piece. The game doesn't offer a draw when there is obviously no other solution, and the game makes sure to remind you that quitting is a loss. Weak.
