It indicates whether the cryptocurrency market is in the Altcoin season.

Based on the performance of the altcoins showing the best growth relative to Bitcoin, we provide realtime information on whether the cryptocurrency market is currently in an altcoin season.

❓ What is Index Methodology?

We reference the top 100 cryptocurrencies listed on exchanges and compare them based on their 90 day moving price performance. If 75% of the top 100 cryptocurrencies outperform Bitcoin over the last 90 days, it enters the Altcoin Season. If only 25% or less outperform Bitcoin, it enters the Bitcoin Season. This calculated number is scaled between 0 and 100 and updated daily.
