An accurate and useful compass in your pocket!

An accurate and useful compass in your pocket! Accurate Compass has a great 3D view along with an intuitive user interface. This tool works exactly like a normal compass and is easy to use for:

-checking (magnetic) North, South, East, and West,
-navigating unfamiliar places,
-finding out the bearing of objects in the distance,
-or just checking which way your garden faces!

The compass also shows the bearing (in degrees) in a side window and its 3D view will work even when your device is not held parallel to the ground.

This app is the same as Accurate Compass, but without the adverts!

Note that this app relies on the magnetometer of your mobile device so accuracy may vary. Also, please check that your device isn’t being affected by a magnetic field. There is advice on calibrating your device within the app.

My purposes : (1) For meditation, there are specific instructions as to the facing specific directions - not possible to trace out during travelling or reaching a new location/s after Sun set. (2) Constructions of bldgs. (3) Keeping head facing a particular direction while sleeping. This most HANDY & wonderfully carved 3D Compass not only serving my needs but also fulfilling other requirements MOST ACCURATELY. Whole hearted great salute to the Developers / Programmers.

Well, it's more accurate than any other I've tried with mt Galaxy Express i486 (or whatever # that is) but not the rotating compass part. The red North arrow points to different "Norths" depending on wich way I turn my phone while flat. But wichever way I turn the phone the top left read out that says N or NE or S is always accurate even though it doesnt match the animated compass. So it technically works and I know wich way is north and that's all I need anyway.

Not a good app at all. Turn it on three times in the same place and you get three completely different North directions. A load of crap.
