Having had a terrible experience with Applegreen earlier, I tried Instavolt for the first time. One charger didn't work, but once I moved my car, the second charged to 97% with no issues. The only negative, is that the app takes £20 from your card on PAYG immediately, which if you then failed to charge your car, I'm not sure how you'd go about getting it back!

The App works well but my charging experience is a bit hit and miss. Went again to charge this morning with a current charge of 31 percent. connected up and started charging at 20kwh then at 45% it dropped to 18kwh. A guy pulled in next to me as I was finishing with his nissan leaf and at 3% charge it started charging at 40kwh. So it appears to me the lower the charge i.e blow 10%will give a decent charge rate. I find it very frustrating to get this low rate of charge, I expect a drop off at 80

Terrible slow chargers that refused to release my car. No stop button on charger!

rubbish. says chargers are unknown when it is actually available to use so I have to use my octopus RFID card instead and so can't use the credit I have on the app!?
