We believe in judo as a form of social transformation and character formation
The meaning of Shoorikan shows the essence of the academy, both the senseis and those who train here: "shoori" means winner of life and "kan", where you learn, so Shoorikan is "where you learn to win". More than winning championships, sensei Jairo and his team follow the principles of the creator of judo, the distinguished sensei Jigoro Kano, among them Jita Kyoei, who preaches human solidarity for the best individual and universal good. Thus, children and adults, students of the Shoorikan Judo Academy, prepare not only for championships, but for life.
