It's got an easy to use and visually nice interface and it loads books quite fast. You can also set a custom data location for backup, which is awesome. The TTS is also passable. The cross-platform features are also pretty good. Overall, one of the casual book reading apps in here. The devs are great too! Few nice to haves that would make it better: Faster search feature, offline dictionary and vocabulary builder.
I was drawn to Readest for the built in edge TTS, which sounds great. Much better than the default android TTS. I love the app, and I'm impressed with the functionality. Negatives: I'd love for the pages to turn along with the TTS. Currently, the book only catches up to TTS at the start of a new chapter. Also the app frequently crashes after exiting to another app and returning.
In general terms, i looove the interface, it's so clean and minimalist, keep going, the only thing that i would suggest is add animations or something when we pass the page, 'cause it feels rough when i go to the next page by tapping the edge of the pag, also improve the optimization of the app 'cause sometimes it feels laggy; I tried the app on my tablet, the rest of the UI is so well done, the only thing that i can suggest it's the size of the books, in vertical orientation they look tiny.
Super infuriating because it almost does what I want, but every time I scroll down the (zoomed-in) PDF page it opens the menu. That makes it unusable and it doesn't look like there's a way to disable it. I'd rather have a different, more discoverable way to open the menu.
Fails to import books. This app does not link to the file location?. Can't read epub or pdf files. What is the purpose of this app. Zero app reviews except this one, I don't wonder why
