Bird Data provides scientific and range information for over 10,000 species.
Bird Data combines information from IOC 11.1, IUCN Red List, and other databases for all of the world bird species. Data includes bird names in seven languages, subspecies, ranges, alternate names, IUCN status, and taxonomic hierarchy. The last version has links to thousands of bird photos representing almost 7,600 species, as well as songs and calls that can be downloaded to the device.
Data can be filtered by one or more countries, allowing the app to be used as a field guide.
Also included is a map feature that ties into the eBird Hot Spot and sighting database. See where your target species have been seen recently, or explore sightings at nearby locations.
