Truple - Porn Filter is a lightweight DNS filter

Features:
• Blocks adult content sites, phishing sites, and optionally mixed content sites (using adult + mixed filter)
• Works across entire phone, including browsers, apps, etc.*
• Filters incognito mode / private browser modes
• Runs on startup
• Safe search enforced on most search engines (using adult + mixed filter)
• (Premium) App blocker
• (Premium) Send an email alert to a friend when filter is locked/unlocked***, or when the filter is forcibly shutdown
• (Premium) Use a Pin to lock the filter. Locking makes it difficult for the filter to be shutdown.
• (Premium) Set a delay (5 mins - 72 hours) before unlocking the filter.

* Certain apps with proxies built in may not be filtered. For these apps use the app blocker to prevent access to them.

**** Filter locking is designed for stock android OS. If your device uses a highly modified android OS, it may not work properly.

Premium features require a subscription of $5 / month ($4.17 / month if paid annually).

Some internet service providers (ISP) may block the DNS filtering service. Unfortunately the only people who can "fix" this are your network administrators and/or your ISP.

Please Note
• You can only use a single filter at a time.

This app uses Accessibility services. It uses the BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE permission in order to lock the filter and provide blocking functionality.

This app uses the Device Administrator permission. The Device Administrator permission is used to prevent "force stop" and "uninstall" attempts when the filter is locked.

EXACTLY was I was looking for! -Free. -No "buddy" system required. -No requirement to manually insert websites to be blocked (impossible for porn, which there are thousands of sites of). -Doesn't use broken AI to try & fail to detect sensitive content, thus blocking innocent content/posts. -Easy to use, with little-to-no learning curve. -Blocks porn sites across the board for you with like 2 clicks through your settings. -Focuses on porn SPECIFICALLY. Not social media/web browsing/etc. Thx!!

Its crazy to me that one of the solutions for reducing easy access was just here on this app. You will have issues tho if you don't have an accountability partner or just the strong desire not to deactivate the filter but all in all, really good app

Lemuell Faulcon

I downloaded this app a year ago, and it worked, until it didn't. I actually had pretty high regard for it, but they give you the adult option, adult + mixed etc, and to activate either of these options, you have to choose the private DNS hostname "Truple" which is pre-filled. Maybe this is a problem on my end, but everytime I choose the the private DNS hostname, and select "Save" it always returns saying "Couldn't connect." Maybe this is something wrong with my phone, but I kinda doubt it.

There doesn't seem to be anything built in to Android operating systems like this but this does the job perfectly. Update: Some days I get a notification that my dns or whatever it is can't connect to the servers so I check my wi-fi setting on my phone and it says "connected without internet" but then it reconnects. Now today that's been repeating and annoying me immensely. I tried uninstalling the app & removing the dns because there seems to be no other way to make it stop. Please fix!
