Magnus Carlsen: Chess Champion
Chess KingAbout this app
The Magnus Carlsen: Chess Champion app solves the problem of accessing a comprehensive collection of chess games and exercises for players of all levels, with a focus on learning from the world champion's strategies. This app benefits most chess enthusiasts, from beginners to experienced players, who seek to improve their skills through interactive lessons and analysis. Compared to alternatives in the chess category, this app stands out for its extensive library of games and exercises, but may fall short in terms of community features and multiplayer options. The app's unique selling point is its association with Magnus Carlsen, which may attract fans and serious chess players.
Pros
- The app offers an unparalleled collection of 2392 games played by Magnus Carlsen, providing users with a wealth of material to study and learn from.
- The inclusion of 370 games with commentary and 110 exercises allows users to engage with the content in a more interactive and challenging way, making it an effective tool for improving chess skills.
- The app's association with the Chess King Learn series and its website provides a structured learning path for users, with courses tailored to different skill levels and topics.
- The absence of ads and in-app purchases ensures a distraction-free learning experience, allowing users to focus on improving their chess skills without interruptions.
- The app's minimal permission requirements suggest a commitment to user privacy and security, which is a significant advantage in today's data-driven environment.
Cons
- The lack of user rating data and limited download numbers may raise concerns about the app's popularity and community support, potentially making it less attractive to users who value social proof.
- The app's focus on solo study and analysis may not cater to users who prefer multiplayer chess or more dynamic, competitive experiences.
- The absence of information about the developer's update frequency and long-term support may lead to concerns about the app's future development and maintenance.
- The app's relatively small size and simplicity may not be sufficient to justify its value proposition for more experienced players who require more advanced features and analysis tools.
Best for: The ideal user for this app is a chess enthusiast, likely between the ages of 10 and 50, with a basic to advanced understanding of chess strategies and tactics, who is looking for a comprehensive and structured learning resource to improve their skills, and is willing to dedicate time and effort to studying and practicing with the app's extensive library of games and exercises.

Exceptionally well app for studying the games of world champion Magnus Carlsen. Chess King deserved a five star rating. The only thing they need to do is to add the games after 2016. Thank you.
The New Animation feature is wonderful. Dear Chess King team, it would be great if you can provide filter functions for the app. The essential filters are Game results and ECO code. I want to study games as per ECO and White wins or Black Wins. If it is possible, this will be great app to study carlsens games and likewise other masters game.
I can't unlock the play against carlsen thing!!!Puzzles are very limited!! This is an bad app!!!
please never download this app
