Legal basis for the use of public data and terms

• Decree No. 8,777/2016 – Open Data Policy: establishes the free use of public data and encourages the creation of tools that expand citizens' access to government information.

• Decree No. 9,903/2019, Article 4: guarantees that public databases can be used free of charge by third parties for informational and educational purposes.

• Copyright Law (Law No. 9,610/1998, Article 7, XIII): permits the public use of government data compilations, as long as they do not imply official affiliation.

• Senatran – queries Public vehicle status information (theft/robbery and basic data). https://portalservicos.senatran.serpro.gov.br/

• FIPE Table – average vehicle prices, obtained through the website https://fipe.online/

• ConsultarPlaca.com.br – third-party service used to provide comprehensive reports with additional data. https://www.consultarplaca.com.br/

• Own database (cache) – used only to temporarily store public query results, always displaying the date of the last update.
