Calgary Flames v25.12.3338
Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corp.About this app
The Calgary Flames app solves the problem of providing fans with a centralized hub for team news, updates, and engagement, benefiting most those who are avid followers of the team and its affiliate, the Calgary Wranglers. Compared to other sports apps, it stands out for its focus on a specific team, potentially offering more in-depth coverage than more general sports news apps. However, its lack of user ratings and reviews makes it difficult to assess its overall quality and performance. The app's simplicity, with no required permissions, could be seen as a positive aspect, indicating a straightforward and potentially less intrusive user experience.
Pros
- The app's free with ads model makes it accessible to all fans without a financial barrier, which is beneficial for those who want to stay updated on their favorite team without incurring costs.
- Given its specific focus on the Calgary Flames and the Calgary Wranglers, the app likely offers detailed and specialized content that fans of these teams might not find elsewhere, making it a valuable resource for dedicated supporters.
- The absence of in-app purchases suggests a more streamlined experience, without the risk of accidental or unwanted purchases, which can be a significant advantage for users, especially those who are not looking to spend additional money beyond the initial download.
- The app's requirement for Android 10 or later could indicate that it is designed with modern security and performance standards in mind, potentially offering a smoother and more secure experience for users with compatible devices.
- The developer's email being provided could suggest a level of openness to feedback and support, which is crucial for maintaining a positive user experience and addressing any issues that might arise.
Cons
- The app's lack of user ratings and reviews is a concern, as it makes it difficult for potential users to gauge the app's quality, performance, and potential issues, which could deter some users from downloading it.
- The presence of ads could be seen as a drawback for some users, potentially leading to a less enjoyable experience, especially if the ads are intrusive or overly frequent, which might impact the app's overall usability and user satisfaction.
- Without more information on the types of ads and how they are integrated, there's a risk that they could negatively impact the app's performance or user experience, which is something potential users should be aware of before downloading.
- The limited data on downloads and the complete lack of ratings might suggest that the app has not yet gained significant traction or community engagement, which could be a concern for users looking for an app with an active and supportive community.
Best for: The ideal user for the Calgary Flames app is an avid fan of the Calgary Flames or the Calgary Wranglers, likely within the age range of 18 to 50, who is looking for a centralized and dedicated source of news, updates, and engagement with their favorite teams, and who values detailed, team-specific content over more general sports news.

Looks good, no videos or pod casts will play... you'd think they'd test it prior to release, not working on my Samsung Galaxy S22... No response from Flames developer regarding issues, Uninstalled app. Stuck with NHL's app, which at least works as it's supposed to. Very annoying they give you contact link, then there's no response - not even an auto reply. - Update: support team did respond, sharing issue has been fixed, I re-installed the app, which now works great! Thank you, GO FLAMES GO!!!
Pretty good app! I like that the store and tickets are actually within the app and dont just redirect you to a browser, makes for a nice experience. Only downside is it looks like google pay does not work, could be an early bug but would like to have it work so i can buy 50/50 tickets. Otherwise a solid app
Everything is ok with the app, except I suddenly cannot access my tickets. This needs to be fixed. I contacted Ticketmaster concerning this, but they were no help, and now I may not be able to get into the games that I paid well over $1600 for because I can't open the tickets for scanning.
Works half the time. Fire whoever had made this terrible application for the last 5 years. Crashes, no tickets in my season pass account, uninstall and reinstall regularly. Fix it or send me paper copies.
This app is broken. Notification settings don't work. I set partial notifications for the Flames after insstall but the all ended up being turned on. Got score updates midgame that spoiled my later watching experience. Tried to turn off the notifications in the app and it says they're all off but I'm still getting notifications. I'm on an S21FE. Will see if a reinstall fixes this. Love the flames but won't use the app if bugs like this get through.
