Cyborg Kitten LLCAbout this app
Developer Description
Counts the dots (a.k.a. pips) on a group of dominoes using the camera.
Just start the app, point the camera at the dominoes, and tap anywhere on the screen. The total will appear in about a second. A circle is drawn around each pip in the image.
This demo version of the Domino Dot Counter App has ads. It is a demonstration of the capabilities of the paid version of the app. If you like the demo, please purchase the full version. The full version now keeps score!!!
For best results, it is important to hold the camera horizontally over the dominoes. It is also important to play on a solid-colored surface like a wood table or a solid tablecloth.

So easy. Mexican Train is a pain to count up. This one actually works unlike others i tried that skipped dots or added things not dots. Pop up every so often but not a nuisance, especially for free.
Works great in good lighting but not when u play in low light. Somehow camera looks very low light compared to the actual camera app. Probably take picture, change contrast then count?
Very useful, but as my dominos have a metal nub in the middle, the app counts it as a dot. This could be solved if the app didn't count dots smaller than all the others (my domino's dots are all the same size). Other dominos sets might have different sized dots so there could be a toggle for that in settings.
It sometines counts the middle bolt as a dot.
Crashes every time I try to take a picture. Running uprooted 5.1 on Moto X 2nd gen
