The tear-off calendar "De Druivelaar," well-known and beloved in many Flemish homes, has a rich history dating back to 1915.

About De Druivelaar

With its 111th edition, De Druivelaar is still completely up-to-date. Zwevegem printer René Nuttin first launched the tear-off calendar in 1915. The name comes from the large grapevine that grew on his veranda at the time. Because Nuttin had no successor, he left De Druivelaar to Drukkerij Strobbe in Izegem at the beginning of World War II, which had been compiling and selling the tear-off calendar since 1942. Only in 1944 did the calendar not appear due to the paper shortage and staff shortages caused by the war.

The 2026 edition traditionally contains many sayings, countless jokes, and regular columns.
