How it works
1) Hold the phone at arm’s length. On supported devices, distance is measured automatically using the front camera with face detection.
2) Test each eye by swiping. An adaptive algorithm quickly identifies the visual acuity.
Key capabilities
- As fast as under 10 sec per eye with Super quick mode (additional modes available for higher accuracy)
- Automatic distance measurement on supported devices (ARCore); manual fallback when depth is unavailable. Automatically calculates the size to display in real time. No need to hang a chart on the wall or get out a tape measure to figure out distance.
- Works in small rooms with a fixed short working distance
- On‑device processing; no account required and no personal identifiers stored
- Timestamped history for your notes or later review (trend your vision!)
- Hate swiping? We also have a button mode and a speech recognition mode that you can try.
