Arrate Radio started on December 23, 1959 at AM under the supervision of On Pedro Gorostidi. Four years later, on May 5, 1964, it was closed by the then authorities. After 14 years, we reopened on July 3, 1978, this time in FM, but after 4 months of operation, the second closure came. Finally, on December 30, 1982, we started work for the third time, with Bernardo Ibarra as director since then. Since then we have been doing several radio shows in pure Basque: interviews, general news, shows to greet parents and patients, music shows, sports and popular sports, weather, religious services, Basque lessons, live shows from the main fairs in the area... interspersed with Basque tunes and songs and pleasant music. We broadcast the shows through FM, Internet and our APP to our loyal listeners around the world. Thank you for listening to Arrate Radio.
