Our pocket bubble level uses the accelerometer and gyroscope (depending on smartphone model). It help to align or leveled when you try to hang any object horizontally, vertically or set at any angle.

I tried a bunch of bubble level apps and this was by far the best. Good price, too (for the no ads version of what I was using before they want $10 or a $6 yearly sub, so I decided to look elsewhere...glad I did). My only criticism is that the three dot menu is only available from "Simple Bubble Level", and from the other tools you have to hit the back button twice to return to that one to access the menu. I'd like to see it available on all tools, and to be able to set a default startup screen.

Why do these bubble apps require a perfectly level surface to calibrate? I sould be able to 1) calibrate. 2) turn phone 180 degrees, same side down. 3) calibrate. 4) The bubble app uses those two readings to determine the angle of the surface and calibrate the phone! There was an app called 'Clinometer' that did that beautifully. Sadly it no longer works on my phone. I am going to post this review on the other bubble level apps that I have tried hoping to motivate the devs to 'fix' their app.
