*The information is pulled from official sources - there is a lot of misinformation about drone rules and laws floating online - DroneMate gives you a clear listing of the laws, rules, and places where they haven't been completely defined yet.
*Shows information for specific cities, touristic sights, and other areas where drone use has special rules or restrictions.
*DroneMate is updated regularly in realtime with information obtained from a number of official sources.
*DroneMate has a user comment system where travelers can add their experiences droning, importing, and dealing with authorities in each specific country. The comments are useful in situations where the authorities themselves are confused or unaware of the laws, non-common situations, and other anecdotes that can help other travelers.
*Users can also post questions in the comment section for other travelers or the administrator.
*All comments are rated by other users, so the most useful, informative responses are highlighted on top of the others.

Great app for drone travelers

It is a nice idea, but it is full of holes. I live in Thailand where drones must be registered. The app tells you this, but it then mentions that registration is dificult and takes up to 2 months. This is simply nonsense. You can go to the nearest police-station and register it. All you need is liability insurance. There are even dedicated "drone registration offices" in the major cities. All free and very effectif. Now, I added this info as a comment to the app... but that comment has yet te become vissible... and that is bad. Very bad. And there is more incomplete or wrong info... NEEDS WORK !!!

I am not sure why people are rating 5 on this app. It is very vague, when you actually go to the sites for different countries online there are much more detail regarding local laws. The description that shows local state laws also lacks information about the different parks or areas where drones are not allowed. In my state for instance it shows only one national park. Much improvement needed for a 5. Rely on Google to find info regarding the places that you are going to visit
