The Economy Olympics are the biggest economic training project in Portugal!
The Economic Olympiads are the largest economic training project in Portugal, aimed at secondary and professional education students.
Their objective is to Unite the Worlds: to unite young Portuguese people with a taste for economic science and to unite Secondary Education with Higher Education, especially the University of Coimbra.
The initiative was created in 2013 by a group of students from the Economics Degree at FEUC, and is currently organized by students and alumni from the University of Coimbra and by participants in previous editions of the OE.
OE XII are supported by a Scientific and Pedagogical Council, made up entirely of professors from FEUC - Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra.
Participation in OE XII is intended for all secondary and professional education students in schools in Portugal. In this edition the topic under debate will be “International Economy”.
OE XII takes place in 3 Phases:
• School Phase, January 15th to 17th;
• Regional Phase, February 22nd;
• National Phase, from May 9th to 11th;
With more than 17,500 participations over the past editions, the OE continues to seek to increase its commitment to the Portuguese education system and promote the improvement of economic literacy in Portugal. Be part of us!!
