Developer Description
This is the companion app for Tapestry, the EYFS Online Learning Journal.
You must be able to log into a Tapestry account in order to use this app.
The app is a pared-down version of the browser. You can use it to:
Create, view, edit, and comment on observations
View and comment on Memos and Activities
Log into your account quickly using a PIN or biometrics
Access and add to your child/children’s learning journal/s whilst offline
If you are a staff member, create and view Care Diary entries
Privacy & Data Protection:
The school/nursery/childminder that purchased the Tapestry
account is in charge of the data that is added to and stored in Tapestry; what
is added, how long it is kept for, and who can see it.
We at Tapestry only use the data you enter to
provide, fix and improve the service. We don’t use the data for marketing; we
don’t share the data with others to do marketing.

Absolutely essential if you wish to maintain an insight into your child's activities in school. The updates and photographs are very welcome. Not forgetting that the staff must have bought in too the App, otherwise it just doesn't work. Thank you for all your efforts to keep parents in the loop.

opt in for notifications but it doesn't seem to work

It's good that I'm able to see what my child has been doing during the day but this app has 2 flaws. One is a moderate annoyance, where the care diary keeps jumping back up to the top when I try to scroll through the list. The other is more a major annoyance where notifications come through hours late. So I have to periodically open the app to see if there are any notices. Even if I've already read it, the notification for it still comes through hours later.

It's great there's a way to safely pass info and pictures of my child from the school and back but the security is so high even me and my partner can't access our log ins without reseting my password every single time. It's frustrating and useless to me if I cant access it. I'd almost rather the school just email me once a month. The app keeps shutting it's self down too. Useless
