Glad I found this app! I thought I was screwed with not being able to use my mug anymore because the original app wouldn't connect no matter what I did. I use my Ember every day, all day. Thank you for the rescue app. One suggestion if possible, add the ability to start heating even if low temperature is detected and it thinks it is empty...might not be a thing or it is and I don't know how to do it. Anyway, terrific job!
So much better than the app made by ember! Haven't had any connectivity issues, and it has been so much more reliable! One thing I would like to see is a temperature preset option where I can save specific temps and hit a button to sit the mug to that temperature. The slider is a little bit clunky to get the mug on specific temps
I have a Mug 1, and this was hit or miss for me. Worked sometimes, some other times not so much. Had to go back - sadly - to the Ember official app.
The app works better than the official one for the most part, but the lack of notifications that actually work brings this all the way down for me. This is an updated review from my last one. If the official app actually connected and retained it, it would be better than this.
Doesn't connect most of the time. Degrees are in 1/10ths for some reason? You can't actually set 3 presets because mixing the dial changes the last preset you used... All in a paid app Edit: Oh, and you can't actually set the mug to max temp. 144.4 is the highest you can go. Not that big of a deal, but this level of jank is everywhere in the app. If it were free, that would be one thing...
