In NORMAP, through its viewer, you will be able to consult the applicable regulations in your position or for any point on the coasts of the Canary Islands. Whatever your interest, you will find the information you need: Contains the following profiles: professional shellfisher, recreational shellfisher, recreational fisherman from land, professional fisherman, recreational fisherman from boat, underwater fisherman, underwater activities, nautical and bather.
All the information you consult will be linked to the point of the coast that you want. If there is any type of restriction or regulation in the selected area, some drop-downs will open with all the current regulations. These panels will show you the information through different icons of species, fishing gear and uses in three colors: red, yellow and green. Depending on the color, it indicates prohibition, specific restrictions and no specific restrictions, respectively.
You will also obtain very useful information regarding the profile you have chosen, such as: closed seasons for shellfish species, permitted fishing gear, types of licenses required, maximum catch quotas, minimum catch sizes, general prohibitions, protected species, conditions for navigation and docking, and many more!
