So far the app works. It's an easy way for those of us not living in the UK to buy the magazine at one touch. I also like the fact that I can buy the magazine I want without needing a subscription. I really like it.
Waited 2 hours. No download. July 2018 there was same complaint. NOT GOOD AT ALL.
not what I was looking for!
Despite subscribing via this app, and despite a notification today saying I should be able to now, it still doesn't give me access to subscriber-only features. Last app update was 20 October so I guess the required update hasn't propagated out through the Store yet. Maybe I'll be able to use all the features of this app before my 1 year subscription is up. If not I definitely won't be renewing.
Disappointed would be an understatement! I've been a GW subscriber for decades and I was hoping this app would allow existing subscribers to sign in and access gardening tips, maybe integrate with the exclusive digital content mentioned in the paper magazine. But no! It's just advertising to buy digital copies of the magazines I already have. Why would I want to do that?! Someone's missed an opportunity here. So uninstalled and sticking with my paper copy through the door, thank you.
