Using a well structured **phonics approach**, Jolly Phonics Pro teaches beginners the five key skills for reading and writing.
Designed specifically for beginner learners and teachers alike and tested by them, as it teaches children the letter sounds (phonemes) in a way that they can blend them to form words and segment words into their individual sounds. This app features the following:
• Letter sounds audio for all sounds
• Words bank with pronunciation for each sound.
• Word bank to practice blending in each sound group.
• Mini games for each sound (updated on a regular basis)
• Free style writing ability to practice dictation and letter formation. Just enable the pen and move your finger on the screen to draw the shape of the letter.
(•) This approach consists of main groups
• **Group 1** : s, a, t, i, p, n
• **Group 2** : c (k), e, h, r, m, d
• **Group 3** : g, o, u, l, f, b
• **Group 4** : ai, j, oa, ie, ee, or
• **Group 5** : z, w, ng, v, oo, oo
• **Group 6** : y, x, ch, sh, th, th
• **Group 7** : qu, ou, oi, ue, er, ar
(•) We also added extra groups to help teach some challenging sounds combination as follows:
• **Group "S + consonants "** (introduced after group 2): sp, st, sn, sm, sk,
• **Group "Constants + vowels"** (introduced after group 6): Consonants + a, Consonants + i, Consonants + e, Consonants + o, Consonants + u
