The New Jersey Traffic app allows users to view the same traffic and travel info
The free New Jersey Traffic app allows motorists and commuters alike, to view real-time traffic conditions on New Jersey’s state and interstate roadways, toll roads, as well as the region’s bridges and tunnels.
In addition, users can view select travel times for interstates, toll roads or select bridges and tunnels.
Users can also get this same information using Google Assistant once the app is installed on your device.
The New Jersey Department of Transportation has developed an update to Google Assistant that allows users to interact directly with the New Jersey Traffic mobile application.
To use the new Google Assistant feature, you must first go to the Google Play store and download the New Jersey Traffic mobile app.
Then, simply say, “Hey Google, New Jersey Traffic voice assistant.” Google Assistant will then access the New Jersey Traffic mobile app. From here, simply follow the interactive prompts.
Google Assistant will then interact with the New Jersey Traffic mobile app, based on user requests for information about real-time traffic conditions and select travel times in New Jersey.
The New Jersey Traffic mobile app provides the same event and travel time information that can be found on the 511nj.org website.
