KH-App vVARY

This app has been developed for diabetics (type 1 diabetes mellitus) and is intended to support the daily calculation of carbohydrates with an editable basic list of products.

The existing product list represents a basic framework and can be edited and expanded by the user.

Diabetics can eat anything, but you have to know how many carbohydrates a product has. If you buy a granola bar or a bottle of juice, for example, it is written on the packaging, so no problem. But what about loose products? How is it with cooking and baking? Note, pen and calculator?

The KH app lists a large number of products sorted by category. Each product can easily be included in the calculation by specifying the quantity. The total amount of carbohydrates can be seen immediately at a glance.

I originally developed the KH app for our son (type 1 diabetic). We now use them every day. It has become a valuable tool for us and we can no longer imagine our everyday life without it.
We therefore have a self-interest in correcting any errors that may occur as quickly as possible and keeping the app up to date.


Hints:
- The KH app can only run on devices with an Android version from 4.x!
- The KH app does not require any access rights.


General:
- The display of the carbohydrates can be set between KH, KE and BE.
- All products are displayed with KH, KE or BE on 100g or ml of product.
- You can quickly create your own or nonexistent products yourself.
- The properties of the products (name, category, KH on 100g, everyday example) can be changed.
- Products that are not required can be hidden.
- Quick product search on every page
- Fast navigation possible via a swipe menu.
- Various text colors can be changed.
- App description and help is available.


Calculation:
- It is possible to add certain product quantities in g or ml.
- The carbohydrates are calculated automatically.
- Missing carbohydrates can be entered; the product quantity is calculated automatically.
- Direct addition of the product quantity from the everyday example at the touch of a finger.
- The quantities can be quickly changed in the calculation, crossed out or deleted.


Favorites:
- Frequently used products can be marked as favorites.
- Favorites are also available in a separate list.


Favorite groups:
- Complete calculations e.g. recipes or meals etc. can be saved.
- Loaded favorite groups can be changed and saved again.
- Loaded favorite groups can be expanded and saved as a new, additional group.
