I played this when it was a browser game back in the day. They've brought it back as a mobile game and it works brilliantly in this format. You can play with no paying and no ads. It's pretty simple gameplay but becomes challenging in harder difficulties and generals mode. Completing achievements kept me entertained for a good while, and there's only one I couldn't eventually get without paying for hacked mode. So glad they've given us the original music, too!
The music is intense and really makes you feel like you're a warlord, even if the gameplay is just a regular Flash Game. I never played this one back when I played a ton of Flash Games but I can see why people loved it. My main gripe is that matches usually drag on for way too long
Love this game use to play it on PC at school but when I paid for the other 10 levels every time I leave game I have to uninstall it so I can use what I paid for
The only thing good about age of war is that it released as a browser flash game 2 decades ago and could be played on school computers. It's extremely 1 note with the computer player cheating non-stop because the dude who made it couldn't figure out how to make it decent.
I am all for paying a bit of money here and there to play a classic I loved growing up, but charging $4-$8 SEPARATELY for 3 features and still not removing ads is crazy. This was a free browser game that, while nostalgic, is incredibly simple and easily cheesed. I'm very disappointed to see this turned into a cash grab instead of a remake or rebalanced version with some cool modes added. I would gladly pay $5 for that, but this is just annoying.
