Application to quickly calculate the APGAR score of the newborn
Welcome to Calculate APGAR, a tool designed to facilitate the rapid assessment of a newborn's clinical status in the first minutes of life. This application aims to support immediate clinical decision-making by providing an automatic and accurate calculation of the APGAR score, based on internationally standardized criteria.
Features
Intuitive parameter selection:
Evaluate the five components of the APGAR test—Appearance, Pulse, Grimacing (response to stimuli), Activity (muscle tone), and Respiration—using radio buttons. Simply select the appropriate option in each category.
Automatic Calculation:
Upon selecting parameters, the app immediately calculates the total score (from 0 to 10) and displays its clinical interpretation:
7 to 10: Normal
4 to 6: Moderate Depression
0 to 3: Severe Depression
Quick Reset Button:
A button with a circular backward arrow icon, located next to the calculation button, allows you to reset all values to their default state, facilitating multiple evaluations without complications.
Access to Additional Information:
In the upper right corner, next to the app title, there is a button with an "i" icon in a circle, which directs you to a section of additional information, including:
