Truly excellent strategy game, with a lot of depth. Highly recommend playing the story first before getting into stages though. This game has a steep learning curve at first, and tougher stages, though they can be beaten with strategy, your ships will need a lot of resources poured into upgrades to go head to head with enemy ships. But after a few games of experimenting with the different unlocks in the tech tree, the advantages of buildings and ships, it all comes together. So good!
Really fun wish they would tweak the stage time limit to a different mechanism. Also boo pay to win
Too involved for me, would have loved a more idle style gameplay.
Gameplay's good, but heavily lacks in everything else... First is obviously the pay-walled content. Grinding is hard enough, but the stats of those micro-transaction modules and ships are nowhere near close. Actual P2W as it increases the turn limits too. Factions seem identical in terms of gameplay. Story Mode is almost the same as Stage Mode. It's just padded with several fights before the next scene. And the story MC is just very unlikable. Aurora seems to be the only good character, sadly.
The enemy has a unfair advantage from the start. First of all they are located in areas with 1-2 access the player can use, one of these access points is blocked by asteroids that only they can pass through but players can't. Secondly they can produce ships far faster and if 2-3 lvls then players can. Lastly they can place buildings around their base that give them boosts or whatever that the players don't have. This is all in stage 1 of story mode. Played it 6x and no luck...frustration game
