For what it is and that there are other apps that the creators have decided to choose the pay once plan, it'd be nice to see that as an option. Another novel way is the you pay for the X.0 release and get all the upgrades until the next major version release so X+1.0 version (assuming it's a real major version not just bug fixes) then the app keeps working like you paid for and it is an option to move up. What is the quality of the offline maps? Donno until I buy... meh
