About this app
Know your geo coordinates using on-device GPS and Network location providers
My Location shows precise latitude, longitude, altitude and accuracy using your device's GPS and network providers. Perfect for hikers, field workers, developers and privacy‑conscious users who want a lightweight, privacy-friendly tool to inspect raw location data.
▶ Features:
My Location finds your device's location in the following ways:
● GPS is usually the most accurate method. But a position fix may take some time or may not work at all due to signal loss. Lock GPS feature runs a persistent service to keep connected with the satellites.
View the list of visible satellites with their names, PRNs (unique identifiers), SNR (signal quality), elevation and azimuth angles, frequency bands, and more.
● Network Location Provider uses Wi-Fi or Cellular ids to estimate the location. On the devices with Google Play Services installed, NLP usually uses Google Location Service at backend.
● UnifiedNLP is an open source API which has been used to develop multiple NLP backends (https://github.com/microg/UnifiedNlp/wiki/Backends).
▶ Furthermore:
● Copy location coordinates to clipboard or open in a maps app, if installed.
● Optional built‑in OpenStreetMap preview — no maps app dependency.
● A minimal compass.
● Clear A-GPS aiding data.
▶ Privacy & control: My Location is not a location provider — it only displays location readings from device providers or from UnifiedNLP backends you choose. No background transmission of your location by the app itself.
Basic functionality of My Location is free and open-source: https://github.com/mirfatif/MyLocation
