The application “Book of Biographies of Noble Figures” by Imam Al-Dhahabi is a book of general biographies that the author summarized from his great book “The History of Islam and the Deaths of Celebrities and Notables,” known as the History of Islam.
The book is arranged in biographies according to deaths, starting from the Companions until the end of the seventh century AH. He devoted the first and second parts to the biography of the Prophet and the biographies of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, and he did not include them in his book “Biographies of Noble Figures.” Rather, he referred them to his book “The History of Islam,” and the copyist Ibn Tufan came and did not reproduce them. The first and second volumes, and the first part of “Biographies of Noble Figures” began with a translation of the ten promised Paradise.
The author organized his book on classes, making it into approximately forty classes, in the style of Islamic biographies, and each class means an entire generation, and the biographical notes for one class in the book were overlapping from one class to another, with great variation in the period of time each class takes...
This is an important and great book, in which the author intends to fully explain the name of the author of the translation, his lineage and status, his academic value, his birth, his upbringing, his knowledge, his sheikhs, his students, and the date of birth and death.
