This game is awesome! Important to level up early with the training sessions, and important to rest during the low level tournaments to stock up on energy. Once you get used to the game, the energy system is easy to manage (I essentially only play Master 1000s and the grand slams, and rest during the other weeks, kinda like the actual top seeds IRL) without paying for anything.

I think the spine of this is brilliant, the gameplay is fantastic, NRG, skills, training, etc. all make sense (well, maybe except the coach). But by year 5 I've already won everything and the lack of content makes it a chore to continue. I'd love to see some interactions with CPU players, more interviews, injuries, even extra skills, too. Of course, being "retro" probably means it can't be a full-fledged sports simulator, but this can easily be one of the best sports game on mobile.

I downloaded the game on my previous phone (Samsung galaxy note 10) but for some reason it doesn't work on my current one (Sony Xperia 1 VII). I deleted it and downloaded it again in hope of it being a glitch or bug by transfer but no, it works just fine until I try to press start game in which it displays some kind of long script, and once I press anywhere after it's shown it crashes and restarts... I would love to find a solution and play the game again!

I want to like this game so much, and I usually live New Star Games work, but this one has a few flaws that keep it from being great. The energy system is annoying at best. the biggest problem for me is when I lose a point, and it will not have been game point, and then the game sims through the rest of the point and says I lose it. very frustrating, at least give me a chance to lose the game on my own, don't determine it for me. if fixed, immediate 5 stars.

Great potential bogged down by microtransactions. You need energy to keep competitive, but it's given so slowly. When you earn currency to buy energy, the shop spikes the price so you can never properly keep your energy up. (price goes from 80-500). It's designed in a predatory way so you are heavily encouraged to spend real money to keep playing at higher levels. Don't recommend until they fix the price increases. Also a lot of the equipment is minimal and you dont get a lot of options.
