I love how the hiragana gets bigger when they’re read aloud — in general, the visualization really helps everything stick in your brain. It would be perfect if the example sentences could also be read aloud, so you can hear how the word sounds in a sentence and recognize it later in conversations. I’d also love a feature to review everything I’ve learned, or focus on all words I’m struggling with, without having to bookmark everything. Big potential.
Some examples have errors, with vocabulary either not being displayed at all or ruby embeddings not being parsed correctly. This happens rarely, though. Another inconvenience is that some vocabulary points inside a set have duplicate translations, such as 「黒/黒い」both having the translation "black". If I'm in a MC review and select the wrong "black", it's counted as a mistake. Although, the support team is really quick and the recent UI update is really cute 👍🏼
They have words with wrong meaning. For example uketsuke is reception, but in the app it says receipt. Otherwise I like the interface but annoying you have to verify accuracy.
Tried the first N5 set and the example sentence already has the wrong kana. January (ichigatsu) is written as one month duration (hitotsuki).
