Used for the first time yesterday and it worked a treat. Much easier than the old barcode scanners. No problems getting anything to scan: paper, wristbands, smart watches etc... Real shame some folk are having problems, must be frustrating. But don't assume you'll have problems - just download it and test at home on your own barcode.
As a regular volunteer, be great if there was a way timer keepers and scanners could manually remove entires, especially time keeping in case the screen is touched in error
It would appear with the Android version, that the scan area isn't zoomed/adjusted to the part of the screen that is being used, and the whole camera view is instead showing. This is what I believe is causing all the complaints. The scanner part itself isn't functioning correctly on Android - it's not about the individual cameras on each brand and model. Fix the scanner part of the app itself. ALSO, include some token support area. The ability to edit a field to add the position number if that doesn't want to scan, or manually add the A number and a position. For that matter, include incident reporting as well, it can be submitted to the webFMS the same way as the results.
Won't scan QR code. Nokia 3.4 with Android app newly installed. Scanned barcodes well in soggy conditions, but wouldn't scan QR code to submit results (square code distorted, appearing on screen as a rectangle instead). Sent results by email but more work for core team. A bit embarrassing so put off scanning again. Can't just be my phone. Potentially great app once the wrinkles on Android are ironed out.
I have a Huawei P30 and this app doesn't work on my phone. There is no red line as seen on my friends iPhone app and the scan window is small. After many attempts it scanned the participant's code but no joy at all with scanning the token. No option on the app for customer support to see if there is a solution. No solutions found on Google search either but it seems to be a common problem.
