PerfExpert - Car Onboard Dyno & Timer allows you to measure the performances of your car, such as its real power, torque, and acceleration times. It doesn’t require any connection to your car. Results are provided as detailed reports featuring interactive charts.
How does PerfExpert Dyno works ? It's simple :
1. Create your car profile => Describe your vehicle's specifications, including curb weight, tire sizes, and engine displacement. If you're unsure about these details, we'll guide you through the process.
2. Mount your phone in your car => No need for complicated connections. Simply secure your phone in the car, and PerfExpert will utilize its internal sensors to measure accurate acceleration.
3. Accelerate through the entire engine rev range => Choose a flat, straight, and horizontal road. Accelerate from low revs to the maximum revs while maintaining the same gear. It's that simple!
IMPORTANT : dyno test is not compatible with automatic gearboxes that doesn't have a manual mode.
With such a tool, you can check the efficiency of your various tunings, ECU mapping, chiptuning, and even your chassis settings.
Using the specification of the tested car and your device’s accelerometer, the application runs our algorithms and dynamic power loss calculations to provide the performances of your car with high accuracy.

It's simple. Calibration may take couple tries if you do it wrong. I guess calibration pictures in the app could benefit from written words what's up and down, front and back. One of the pictures can be a bit of a guess. After that? You put the data, ACCURATELY. Stop the car, have the phone secure at acceptable position. Which is easiest thing in the world to do. You get green light, you drive. And results shown are very accurate, I've tested it on plenty of cars. Great app.
Very good measurements, WHEN I managed to make it work. 80% of times it stops and tells me max power at 2700-2800 rpm which is a lot lower than the max power at 4000 rpm. It just stops measuring at about 3000. But when it does say the real max power. it measures it really well.
2 things need improvement: ; tires sizes for motorcycles are not available so you must find equivalent tire heights for sizes; e.g. 180/55/18 == 245/35/19 ; must do metric/empirical conversions yourself.
gave different results on the same car every time i tested it. the same car, the same road, the same gear and acceleration and weather, difference in hp mainly whiles torque was more or less ok
Tried several times and just can't get it to complete a session. There's allot of good features, and it should be quite accurate, but with the calibration taking a good 4 or 5 tries to complete, and the barrage of steps you have to go through before you can start a logging run (most of which can and should be automated) When you finally get to test it. You get successive error messages, phone in bad position, or phone at wrong angle, or travels distance less than 18m I've tried several times in multiple positions, and watched all the tutorials, but it's just too temperamental. It could be so good, but with the gauge error messages you get, I don't know how it wants to be positioned or what's wrong. Of a good 6 or 7 times testing on the asphalt, I've had 0 success in even getting it complete 1 run. It could be good, but it is just too temperamental, and too long winded to use.
