About this app

Bring Pittsburgh's Walk of Fame stars to life with images, sound, and more!

Enhance the experience of visiting the Pittsburgh Walk of Fame with this user-friendly app. It’s specifically designed to be easily activated as you stand at the popular tourist attraction and learn about Southwestern Pennsylvanians who have left their mark on America. That includes artists, athletes, scientists, musicians, actors, industrialists, and more.

Sure, seeing the names and career highlights of the inductees literally “set in stone” on the sidewalk can be a monumental experience (pun intended). But wouldn’t you like to actually take a look at the honorees and maybe get a glimpse into their lives and accomplishments?

Then download this app and simply point your device at any of the bronze stars on the sidewalk. Be sure to line up the honoree’s name in the center of your screen—and that’s it! The name on the star will trigger the app to open to that inductee’s page, and you’ll suddenly find a whole lot more about this notable individual.

One by one, you’ll be able to see all the honorees, learn about their career highlights, discover their ties to the Pittsburgh region, and find out about other nearby places of interest related to them.

The app is free and ready for you to download. And while you don’t actually have to be standing at the Pittsburgh Walk of Fame to use it, we hope you’ll head over to Pittsburgh’s Strip District Terminal, where the Walk is located, and give it a try there. It’ll take the concrete experience of visiting the Walk (again, pun intended!) to a much more engaging level.

About the Pittsburgh Walk of Fame

This popular tourist attraction celebrates notable people with ties to the Pittsburgh Region who have influenced America’s cultural heritage. Bronze stars bearing their names are embedded in the sidewalk, accompanied by narrative plaques that highlight their achievements.

Launched in 2025, this nonprofit initiative will continually expand, as more honorees are inducted each year.

You’ll find the Pittsburgh Walk of Fame at The Terminal in Pittsburgh’s bustling Strip District. This retail, dining, and entertainment destination is located in a landmark historic building on Smallman Street, running from 16th to 21st streets.
