- Real-time data that shows how much electricity your home’s using right now.

- Control compatible smart home devices (lights, thermostats, plugs, etc.) all in one app.
With greater knowledge of your home’s energy use, you can take actions to save energy and money.
The HydroHome app is available to most BC Hydro residential customers. Hubs aren’t available to customers in apartment buildings due to limitations with the wireless technology.

The app has been updated quite a bit from last year - had some issues but it's fixed now- no grey screen issues- You can view energy usage to get a feel of what you use in the day/week/month.

Plus one star because my support experience was not the best until I reached a manager. It works fine after a lot of back and forth and does what it's supposed to do. I bought the Powerlync monitoring plug and it works great now. Fun and informative to see real-time power usage.

Just installed this the other day and it flashes the main screen then just goes grey. Like, the entire screen is just a grey box. It's unusable. Update: well, the app is working now but it doesn't really do much for those living in an apartment building. Not mine, at least, so it's fairly useless. Thus the only slightly improved rating.

Edit: login issues were fixed. Now I can use the app, but unless you upgrade it's pretty much useless. Original review: Can't even log in using my BCHydro credentials. Just keep getting "unknown name & password" and then eventually got "a system error has occurred".

will not load. Just continues to show a rotating circle. I contacted them 9 days ago and still no help. Update; loaded the sept 9 update and same problem! It has now been a month and a half with no help. Fixed the above problem but now many things don't work. Difficult to turn things off or on. Smart actions don't work reliably. Can't delete smart actions. Data is not accurate. Talked to a manager a while ago but still many problems. If I had to pay for this app I certainly would not have it.
