About this app
Automatic microsleep detection, hazard alarm & emergency SOS.
Road Driver Protection is a driving safety assistant that helps prevent microsleep. The app monitors your face with the front camera, sounds an alarm when danger signals are detected, and sets up an emergency SOS with a location link so family and friends can be quickly contacted.
What can RDP do?
Drowsiness & Microsleep Detection (on-device)
Real-time analysis of closed eyes and yawning. No video is sent to the server.
Smart Warning Alarms
Different warning sounds for danger, yawning, and emergencies to quickly alert the driver.
Foreground Camera (Stay Alert)
Background service mode (foreground service with notifications) keeps detection running when you enter PiP or switch apps—according to device policy.
Emergency SOS
Manual: Press the SOS button 3 times → 5-second countdown + Cancel button.
Auto-SOS (optional/opt-in): If the danger persists (±10 seconds), send an SMS with a Google Maps location link to your chosen emergency contact.
Anti-spam rate limit: SMS frequency limit (e.g., 1 SMS/10 minutes, max. 3 SMS per trip).
Informative trip summary
Duration, distance traveled, top speed, plus event count: number of times drowsiness and yawning were detected during the trip.
Document Check Before Starting
Quick checklist (e.g., driver's license/vehicle registration, helmet/belt, mirrors, lights) to ensure you're ready to go.
Motorcycle/Car Mode
Customized appearance and behavior—convenient for both scenarios.
Serverless & Privacy Protected
Data is stored locally on your device.
Simple Instructions
Mount your phone on a stable phone holder facing your face.
Add emergency contacts in SOS Settings (optionally enable Auto-SOS).
Open the app → Start. Allow camera and location.
If the alarm sounds, reduce speed/pull over safely.
See the trip summary at the end.
Why is this important?
Microsleep = very brief periods of sleep (seconds). Under any circumstances while driving, a pause of a few seconds is enough to cause harm. RDP provides a layer of protection: early detection of drowsiness → alarm → SOS location option.
Permissions used
Camera: Face detection for signs of drowsiness (process on the device).
Location: Includes a location link in emergency SMS messages.
Notifications: Displays service status and alarms.
SMS (optional): For emergency SMS messages to contacts you set, there is always a countdown and a Cancel button.
Privacy
The app does not collect or send data to the developer's servers.
Emergency contacts and preferences are stored locally.
Auto-SOS can be disabled at any time.
Note
RDP is a safety tool.
Keywords: microsleep, drowsiness detection, anti-drowsiness, driving alarm, emergency SOS, road safety.
