A Google user

I've tried dozens of backgammon games, some good, many not, and found Hardwood to be the best. The graphics are beautiful, the play is smooth, and the characters are fun, but that's not important to me. Fair, random dice is what makes a superior game. Hardwood has it. I can't speak for the online play because I just play with the AI. The only flaw I've seen is when the AI is baring off. Sometimes it makes mistakes which give me a victory I don't deserve. Better than the otherway, though.

Great graphics..plays well...too well...it ALWAYS gets the dice roll it needs! As a systems analyst and statistician I say the "random" roll generator is NOT so random...it gets TOO many doubles AND the doubles it needs. It gets THE best rolls while giving me the lousiest rolls. Other than that, it's one of the best backgammon apps. Maybe I should stick with chess. At least it's an honest game! Rondohr

Seems to work as advertised, but not what I was looking for. Too gimmicky for adults. I just want to play the game w/o an avatar and winning coins or whatever.

I love the interface of the game. Easily the best one arround. However, the computer cheats with the rolls and that's not fun. The game should have had manual dice and then the true capabilities of the AI would be revealed.

Bought pro version after awhile it requires additional subscription to earn points. Don't buy this! Online players are rude and impatient. Documentation of controls non-existent.
